Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings are used in many application to stand axial load. There are split type as well as solid type. Picture P1 is solid type thrust bearing with 12 inch inner diameter being used in pulverizer in CESC (India) and picture P2 is picture of pulverizer. Picture P3 shows the split type thrust roller bearing.

Thin thrust roller bearing with large bore diameter is applied in CNC Vertical Lathe. The  bearing performances are directly involved with performance of the machine and machine manufacturer is very careful to choose bearing manufacturer.
