Split Roller Bearing – SPL series

 For heavy duty application, Solid Spherical bearings are normally used together with split SN, SD Housings. Housings are split, therefore ease assembly is possible, however mounting and dismounting solid bearings are very difficult and take long time. You have to remove neighborhood parts and afterwards you should lift shaft. Now, we have solution. SPL Series Split Roller Bearing can be assembled in standard SN, SD pillow blocks without time spending for removing beside parts.

HKT SPL series  bearing  with  standard  plummer  block housing was mounted on marine propulsion shaft (picture 1). As picture 2, SPL series have been used to comply with trapped  location without changing their existing  housing. Before using SPL, customer should  have spent a lot of time for assembly, inspection of solid bearing. Regarding interchange from  non-standard solid  bearing to split bearing,  HKT offered  order-made split  bearing  upon customer’s demands. On picture 3, spherical bearing with solid  housing (left side) has  been converted with SPL type & split flange (right side).
